i work at home depot in the paint department .. go down there and get this stuff called 'painter's touch', it's by rustoleum, it's in a liquid or a spray. it's made for crafts, and it sticks to wood and metal well, and it's water based (altho the spray can is oil). the front of that case, if it's smooth shiny metal like it looks like might resist paint, run your fingers over and if it's not polished metal (if it has a bit of a bite), it should stick to it alright. if it is really smooth, and shiny, you'll have to rough up the metal a little bit with some sand paper.. just a little bit, so that the paint will stick. the only other choice is what sheen you want, and judging from the shine on the other parts semi-gloss or gloss.
