Quick questions

1) How do you qualify to become a contributor?

2) I know they took away post count but I think I remember being able to see my own post count at one time even though they were taken away. Is there a way of doing this?

2) You can goto your profile and search for all posts by yourself. I don't know how accurate that is though

Not very accurate as it only counts individual threads, not posts, so if you post 10 times in one thread, you still see it as one. And it's also a good way to get searches disabled as well.
 
Actually I just checked that and it shows that I have posted more than one time in threads where I have

So wouldn't that make it accurate then?
 
Only if you select to show the results as posts and not threads, but it's still a good way t get search disabled.
