Not all the top guzzlers are pricey exotics! The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4 with a 5.3-liter V8 is rated at 11 mpg combined and 12 mpg highway.

This is what got me... My F150 has a 5.4 V8 and I get 16-18mpg easy... I had no idea the fuel economy in these vehicles were so bad.
 
You mean giant cargo SUV's get crappy MPG? Really? What a revelation! Maybe that is why despite every tom, dick, and harry getting them they were really supposed to be for cargo/tow purposes, not soccer moms.
 
The point is:

My F150 5.4 V8 gets 16-18, a chevy/gm 1500 5.3 V8 gets 10-12...

The numbers surprised me because I always thought in that class of engine size wise Ford and GM were getting similar #s in fuel economy.

Ford's V10 gets 10-12mpg comparitively.
 
That's pretty fucking sweet, I just don't think it's important for EVERY FUCKING PERSON IN AMERICA TO OWN A GAS GUZZLING SUV. Trucks, if you use them for what they do best, are good for the mpg rating.
 
Well, both sources cite the EPA for their numbers....

Your site sounds more realistic, I just can't figure out how MSN is getting their numbers.
