best program for ripping cds onto your harddrive?

i'm running xp, there might even be a good one built in that i dunno about. anyone have any suggestions?

on media player 8, there is a little side bar on the left and choose copy from cd and put in yer cd. you can rip them all pretty damn fast. go to tools and set it to rip them at a higher quality though, the default is only 64. it's kinda cool, if you click on albumn info it shows you the cd cover and tells you about the group and ****.

thank god someone asked, i burned the first 5 cds to ****ing windows media by mistake and now i can't play em in winamp.

bleh i got owned by microsoft. you need to buy some $10 third party plug in to burn to mp3 format. :/

Do you have the full version of winamp? It should play .wma files.

At least it wouldn't be a total loss then...

as long as you get the mp3 files, you should be able to burn em with another program

you may need the aspi layers for win xp in order to run it. a search on your local search engine should find that easily.
