1) When you enter the inventory your jet power is automatically at full. This annoyed me to no end in T2, where im in s rush only to have half my engery there.
2) The remote inventory having limited energy. This was great in tribes 1, people cared who used their inventory and what they were buying. In T2 is was being abused. I think if they limited how much can be bought from the inventory could make people respect what they buy.
your ideas?

People in shield packs could abuse that. Maybe you could make their energy recharge a little faster though.

* Observer Mode: Making players and flags more visible for observers and shoutcasters. Maybe give them a glow of a sort? It allways annoyed me that you can barely see what's going on when watching T2TV. Is related to the ****ed up depth perception as well, of course. Also include some simple stuff like observing the flag and auto-observe the carrier with the game.
* TimeOut feature for clan games: Giving teams the ability to call a timeout of something unexpected (players dropping, someones ping going WAY up) happens. Admins should obviously be able to enable/disable/customize this feature. I love this in Quake3.
* TVTV (:)) should ship with the game.
* Projectiles and Weapons: It allways annoyed me that the projectiles in T1/T2 behaved differently depending on what model you used. IMO the only thing using a custom model should change is how you look. The hitbox (obviously) and the where the projectiles exit from should remain the same nomatter what. As well as what you see on your screen (weapon placement). If you want weapon placement customization, please make it independent of what model you use.
* Huds and Reticles: It would rock if the game shipped with a few reticle and hud sets that you could use. Then you could apply your personal preference to the game out of the box. Some variables that you could change would rock as well - such as text and hud sizes/colors. Also, Please include a T1-Like hudmover with the game! I have no idea why the T2 devs left that out.
* Models: Forcemodel is a must if you ask me. Having the OPTION to make all players on your/the enemy team the same model/skin. This should only work with the models/skins the game ship with of course, else brightskins will occur instantly :-)

I would like to agree, and maybe even suggest that in obs mode you can turn on/off a team version of the IFF, and maybe even be able to waypoint the flags if desired.....

That information is likely already being passed. It'd just be a matter of making turning the NavHud (in t2) on when your a member of team 0. That and having it display something intellegent and not just making everyone be red.

Stations refilling energy is not only exploitable by shield packers, but snipers too so I'd have to give that one a no. I do like the limited spending @ deployable stations though. That was always a cool feature in T1, and missing in T2 IMO. (it should at least be an option, if not the default).

well this is what was in Tribes one and no one seemed to exploit it. I mean sure a Heavy could jump into a inv and recharge his shield but then all you have to do is kill the inv. It was great for people who were ina rush like cappers, or HoF. Never seemed to be a problem to me before :shrug:
Warmup mode, and ability to change the gametype without loading the same map again.
Build in Punkbuster or some other anti-cheat system.
Server command that forces clients to take small screenshots, and send them to the server.

That should be "other" then, all punkbuster did for CS/Q3 was giving people false assurance.
Keep the infinite supply at deployable invs.
Bring back 3 key voice binds from T1, kill the 4 key binds from T2. If possible, make the T3 binds the same as T1 (which means bringing back duh, you idiot, etcs), and add some more useful ones.

I think T1 has the energy recharge only for permanent invs but not deployables?
That reticle idea is good. An inbuilt reticle switcher which lets you make your own reticles and drop em in a skins dir or something like that.
I don't know if this is a small thing, but try to make more server side events inbuilt into the server. It just makes scripting much easier. :D I can live with doing some processing on my side as well tho...

#3 A better chat system so you dont have to enlarge the chat window to a huge size just to have a conversation (maybe seperate the kill messages from the chat box).
#4 An invisible (or barely visible) targetting laser, so it might actually be useful in games :o.
#5 A complete reworking of the cloak pack so its not so loud and there arent so many ways to be found. (ie no motion sensors or auto-find elf guns)

How about changing from free for all to tourney on the same map without loading the map again. There's always that doofus who changes the map, then goes into tourney mode so we all have to load the map again :twak:
