Idea about turret control

If it is allowed in T3, please show the name of the player controlling the turret. The other night, I come back from caping the flag to find some bastard destroying our vehicle station and MPB with the base turret.

It be great to see the name of the person doing it when I look at the turret so I can call to boot his/her ass :D

I think they should just have 2 types of turreNts. One where it's auto controled, and one where a players sits down in and controls (mounted turret).

How about taking the ability to manually control turrets out of the game altogether? It serves no purpose anyway.
When was the last time you saw someone who was controlling a turret doing anything useful?

people should have to drop their pants to control a turret. that way you can spot them and run up and hit them and they trip over their pants around their ankles

i liked it in some T1 mods, when you had more powerful turrets. Sneaking a laser turret somewhere, and sniping their asses at/near their base. If you made sure you killed them everytime, and they didn't see, they never suspected, and figured it was their own turret.

Although, what i liked better was the whole jumping right on into them, like the rail turret in Havoc. Sweet nailing people from inside those.

how about no turrets at all? They don't take skill to deploy, and take very little skill to destroy. pretty stupid all around.

The only useful turret to control manually is the mortar turret in T1 and T2.

Well, having a laser pointer used to control the turrets would be a little more skill. Better than having the computer become a player I guess :\
