boo.

Though if it goes to console, it'd make the most sense.

fps's are too hard to play on a consol, especially one where you have to jet and lead with every shot

its already on the ps2
and it's only barely playable because of autoaim and base physics

notice i said "tribes product" and not tribes the next. XBOX has a keyboard for it now (through PSO) anyway.

what happened to sierra being sold off along with the rest of the gaming entertainment division at vivendi? if MS was the buyer (there aren't to many would who be able to buy it, MS would be one of few) you might see it make it to Xbox i guess..

I don't think it would be that bad on the XBOX. I've gotten pretty used to aiming with the the xbox controller on fps games.

I think for a game like tribes/tribes 2, and many other first person games the makers of game systems need to come up with a better controller. I think a downsized keyboard with about ten keys and a mouse would would greatly improve the game.

I suppose for the controls would have to be something like this,

R Trigger = Fire
L Trigger = Jet
R Analog = aiming
L Analog = Movement
D-Pad = Movement
B button = Next Weapon
A button = Grens
X button = Mines
Y button = Use Pack
Black Button = Select Loadout (T2 style)
White Button = Ctrl K
R Trigger pressed down = Jump
L Trigger pressed down = zoom

 not enough buttons
