its virtually imposible. thats why people always complain about console fps. on console u have a maximus of like 5-7 usuable buttons. n the keyboard/mouse, u have like 50. it is literally impossible to play w/ a controller on tribes
Someone post pics of whoever it was playing with a joystick at the first UVA? :)

gave you discovered mines or packs yet? command screen? do you know how to type messages in the chat? v-chat or otherwise.
way to many buttons in tribes to be attempting to use a controller..

I used most of the defaults in T2, but i don't think, with the exception of the mouse, i used any of the defaults in t1.

I remember a guy who played Outwars (just like an early Tribes, I swear :D ) and he used a Joystick. So I'll bet it's possible.
i found some sort of configuration file, but it seemed to be only for trackball mice.
is it possible at all?

TWL had a thread, where quite a few guys were using joysticks - I think PJ was one of them. There's some funky stuff out there. 9 or 10 buttons on them. Hold down a thumb button and it's like a shift key and gives all the buttons a second command. This was all T2. I don't know if you can even configure T1 like that.
