T2 has a bunch of default card profiles, but they don't seem to have been updated in a long time (probably since original release)? I found that by editing clientprefs.cs, for example, I could turn on texture compression on my Radeon 7500 with no problems at all, whereas the profiles disable this, probably due to a driver problem in the past.
There's a bunch of people here who've been in since the beta, and probably looked at the profiles before, so just wondering if anyone knows specifically which profiles get executed (i.e. OS specific first, then general, or what?) and under what conditions (new card change, res. change, what?). With new cards like the Radeon 9700 out it might be possible to update these profiles to give a lot better default quality.
