Preview: Youtube Realtime

RealTime appears as a toolbar at the bottom of every YouTube page with three main items. The most prominent button is an indicator showing when you have Realtime sharing turned on, obviously to ensure that you dont accidentally share some videos you arent too proud of watching. The Online Friends tab shows which videos your friends are currently watching (if any) and their recent history. It also allows you to send an invitation to come watch the video youre watching, which will pop up on their screen (you can turn notifications off). This is where the real power of the new product lies, as it allows friends to instantly share videos with each other.

It is fitting that a shooter based on presenting the player with options has spawned two very different sequels. With an open world of 50 square kilometers, a branching mission-based plot powered by a GTA-like cellphone, and an engine built for cross-platform performance, Ubisoft's Far Cry sequel is a wholly different take on the concept than we saw with Crytek's Crysis.

"We basically built the engine from the ground up to be able to create this open world," said Amancio, speaking at a rapid clip, clearly excited about his game. "It's a 50 square kilometer open world game. It's streaming, so no loading. Everything is dynamic. The plants that you're seeing, the animations, they're not animated--this is really procedural.

Age of Conan Beta Review Part 3

Your basic initial attack is fire, sound familiar? It's not. I was thinking "big deal, another fire mage" nope. First of all, when you torch an enemy and they grab their head, visually write in pain, audibly scream in agony omigod adrenaline rush. I'm sorry to my fellow healers, but there was joy...

Age of Conan Beta After 24 Hours

I rolled myself a Priestess of Mitra. So lets start with character creation. Overall I thought the variety of options for customizing my character was quite high. I wont say Im in love with the final product. I guess guys will be thrilled with the ability to make a hot body for the female avatars. I was not so thrilled with my best efforts to make a cute face. I realize this is not a huge issue, I am merely providing feedback in the order in which I experienced each aspect. I know the Hyborian life was a tough one so the people probably werent overly cute anyway. This was only cosmetic and not a big deal.

Luckily I was able to test drive Opera 9.5 a little bit early, and its only fair that I share my findings with you (and we have Operas permission of course). Ive put together a 5-minute video review that details four of what I believe to be Kestrels most notable features. So you can start out by watching the video, or you can read through the article as I cover each feature there as well.
