Quake Wars Beta Getting Wiped

To help better test Quake Wars, they will be wiping all of the stats later this week. So besides getting a big demotion, you'll have to re-register for the beta, remake your account and all of that other fun stuff too. Yay. Oh well, time to take one for the team. - Voodoo Extreme

This is the only game that I can duck tape mouse1 down and go afk for the rest of the match and get most kills. They have some work to do in balancing the game for comp. At the moment its a great pub game. I have been told they are working on a mod that combines the vehicles into one big transformer, but this could be a rumor.

Splash Damage programmer who implemented the ski code for "Enemy Territory: Quake Wars" speaks of the ease of creating a Tribes Mod for the game and shares his willingness to spearhead the effort.

"Most of the groundwork is all there - easily moddable weapons, character classes, vehicles, support for massive terrains, etc. With the kickstart of the physics then I'm convinced that a dedicated team could whip out a prototype Tribes mod in a pretty short timespan."
