They are advertising for a voice actor to play "Cave Johnson", the now-dead boss of Aperture. So this could possibly imply a prequel game of sorts? But who knows.. All I know really is that they are making another and I will buy and and play it. Hopefully its as great as the first one. But that is a pretty big benchmark.

Portal 2 Confirmed by Valve

Valve's acclaimed puzzle-action hybrid Portal will be given a sequel, according to the game's lead designer Kimberly Swift.

"Well, I believe Doug Lombardi who is our lead marketing director at Valve, has announced Portal 2," said Swift in an interview with G4TV.

Lombardi had previously stated that more Portal was on the way, but Swift's comment is the first mention of a true sequel to be made thus far.

Last night Spike TV hosted the 2007 Video Game Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada. While the biggest awards of the night went to the more console-friendly BioShock (Game of the Year) and Harmonix (Studio of the Year for developing Guitar Hero III and Rock Band), Valve's Orange Box did manage to snag two titles. It won the Breakthrough Technology award for Portal as well as Best PC Game overall. Not too shabby.

Valve Confirms Episode Two, Team Fortress 2 Launch Date

Last night, Valve representatives confirmed to Shacknews that the studio's upcoming trio of Source-powered games will ship for all announced platforms on October 9, 2007. The suite, sold at retail and through Valve's Steam download service, will consist of the shooter sequel Half-Life 2: Episode Two, the team-based multiplayer game Team Fortress 2, and the action/puzzle game Portal. Valve is handling development of the games on PC and Xbox 360, with EA UK's Chertsey, Surrey office bringing the titles to PlayStation 3.
