An ET:QW Tweak Guide for TW to celebrate the game's release today.

"Although the Doom 3/Quake 4 engine on which ET:QW is based is very solid and performs quite well, this guide is a compilation of all the important information players of the game will need to maximize their gameplay advantage. From full coverage of the in-game settings through to all the major advanced tweaking required both to optimize and customize the game, it's well worth checking out whether you're a new or experienced player".

Quake Wars Beta Getting Wiped

Submitted by: DudeofDeath @ 08:55 AM | Monday, August 20, 2007 | (url: http://ve3d.ign.c...)

To help better test Quake Wars, they will be wiping all of the stats later this week. So besides getting a big demotion, you'll have to re-register for the beta, remake your account and all of that other fun stuff too. Yay. Oh well, time to take one for the team. - Voodoo Extreme

Interview with id's Marty Stratton: Quake 5 and Quake Zero

Submitted by: prowler @ 09:53 AM | Thursday, August 9, 2007 | (url: http://www.gameri...)

There's lore of things we're going to tap into in the existing community and hopefully with QuakeZero and some other things we can do, we can build that and then when it comes out hitting on all cylinders, we can have people feel they're part of what is going to be what I hope is the next definitive multiplayer competition game. I almost feel that Quake 3 still is. Tournaments don't use it as much, older graphics and all with the sponsors liking the fresher thing. But I still think that if you want to settle a 1v1 FPS grudge match, it's Quake 3. No other game has this connection and overwhelming feeling, and that's the goal that we'd like to bring. And bring it we will.

Check Six's Thoughts on ET:QW before QuakeCon

Submitted by: prowler @ 03:56 PM | Monday, July 30, 2007 | (url: http://www.gameri...)

This is the only game that I can duck tape mouse1 down and go afk for the rest of the match and get most kills. They have some work to do in balancing the game for comp. At the moment its a great pub game. I have been told they are working on a mod that combines the vehicles into one big transformer, but this could be a rumor.

Dev Says "Enemy Territory: Tribal War" Mod. 'Easy to Create'

Submitted by: FireStarter @ 10:09 PM | Thursday, June 21, 2007 | (url: http://www.splash...)

Splash Damage programmer who implemented the ski code for "Enemy Territory: Quake Wars" speaks of the ease of creating a Tribes Mod for the game and shares his willingness to spearhead the effort.

"Most of the groundwork is all there - easily moddable weapons, character classes, vehicles, support for massive terrains, etc. With the kickstart of the physics then I'm convinced that a dedicated team could whip out a prototype Tribes mod in a pretty short timespan."

Quake Wars to have in game ads?

Submitted by: Hudson @ 01:23 PM | Monday, June 18, 2007 | (url: http://community....)

Found this little jewel over on the Splash Damage forums...

ET:QW incorporates technology of Massive Incorporated ("Massive") that enables certain in-game objects (e.g. advertising) to be temporarily uploaded to your personal computer or game console...

Didn't we just go over this about a year ago with battlefield 2142.

The Spanish Inquisition!

Submitted by: Hudson @ 02:09 AM | Thursday, May 10, 2007 | (url: http://community....)

So, someone let Colosus out of his cage and he left a present for us on the lawn.

That's right, [Inq] from Tribes 1, Tribes 2 and Tribes: Vengeance fame is coming to ET:QW. We will continue to wear no pants and assault our enemies with comfy chairs and waffles. Fear the Inquisition!
So does this mean Tribalwar might be moving to Quake Wars
