Players who missed their opportunity to participate in the closed beta get a second chance to experience the intense multiplayer Gold Rush mode on the Oasis map while the single player portion starts gamers at the beginning of their B company career.

The Spore Creature Creator gives anxious life-builders the chance to prematurely access the game's robust creature creation element; players will be able to build any creature they can imagine with the full lot of options. Created creatures can then be imported into the full game when it is released later this year.

If you're megalomaniacal but also too cheap to spring the $9.99 for the game, you'll be happy to hear that a free demo will also arrive that day on the Spore site.

Sins of a Solar Empire has released a singleplayer demo now available at FileShack, for those interested in trying out Ironclad's recently released 4X space strategy game. The 536mb download includes four tutorials, two small maps, one randomly generated medium map and a 90 minute play limit.

Yup, the SP demo is out. It consists of the first level (45 min gameplay) and the sandbox2 editor. 1.77 gig Download.

September 25 is sure to bring relief to some lucky PC gamers and premonitions of system upgrade expense to others, as the Crysis single-player demo is released. The demo will contain the first level from the full game, and publisher EA promises it will showcase "a huge surprise from Crytek."

No minimum system requirements were released; Shacknews has contacted EA for more information. Along with the announcement came a new Crysis trailer showcasing the game's power-enhancing Nanosuit:

For all you GRAW fans out there, the multiplayer demo comes out on the 26th of Feb. This is probably a much better test of how good the game will be compared to its predecessor then the other demo.

A playable demo for Supreme Commander is now online, allowing the chance to take this futuristic real-time strategy game by Gas Powered Games for a spin.

This demo allows you to test the Cybran Nation, one of the games three playable factions in the early stages of the single-player campaign, as well as a skirmish map entitled Finns Revenge in three different difficulty levels.
